As the August bank holiday rapidly approaches and the school holidays are nearing an end we are working on a number of stone surfaces across the Wirral this week. Monday saw completion of a stunning Grey Starlight quartz worktop in Heswall. We began working with this client back in July to add that final touch to their kitchen, our initial brief was for kitchen worksurfaces finished off with upstands, however as with most projects we then saw things escalate. Once the client had seen the Grey Starlight in place in their kitchen we were called back and asked to create a few more finishing touches. In this instance with the kitchen being off the family room the client wanted to tie the two spaces together so asked us to create a Quartz hearth, Quartz window sill and a Quartz threshold into the room as well as the addition of a huge Quartz splashback behind their feature Belfast sink.
Our second Quartz installation of the week was for a customer from a few years back who had recently moved house and invited us back to install Quartz worktops in her new kitchen. She had chosen a Cashmere Grey Oak effect kitchen from John Lewis and went for Samsung Radianz Everest White Quartz worktops to complete her kitchen in Hoylake. Having worked together before she was well schooled on the attributes of each material and knew exactly the look she wanted to achieve and the material needed to do so. The Samsung Quartz that we carefully templated, manufactured and installed not only offers a sharp and clean look, it is also one of the most durable, hygienic and hard-wearing materials you can have in your kitchen,
Third up is yet another Samsung Quartz, this time in their Teton Beige colourway. When we originally went out to look at this job the client asked us if we were able to line up their installation with their summer holidays. Anyone with small children will know that keeping them entertained for the 6 weeks holiday a challenge in itself, trying to do so with no kitchen makes for an even bigger task, so we were of course happy to oblige. After dropping off the keys and us wishing them a very happy holiday we visited the house to carry out their template. Prior to their departure to sunny Spain we clarified the finer details such as tap position, drainer grooves for their undermount sink to go on the left or right side and their splashback heights. We will install the surfaces later this week and can’t wait for them to return from their holiday to their completed kitchen.
The final Quartz installation of the week is a Contract Beige Quartz worktop in Prenton. This simple Quartz worktop is made up of a very pale cream background with flecks of cream, beige and browns to add depth and interest to the uniformity of this Quartz. This client is another returning customer who has decided to add to the worksurfaces we fitted a few years ago.
All in all these combined with a few more Granite Worktop installations and working on an ongoing bathroom project we have been working on make for a jam packed week.
