David Williams has been handling stone for more than 40 years, trained as a stone carver in Liverpool, his family run business is well known on the Wirral for producing beautifully proportioned, hand-made fireplaces.

It's not just about producing a well-made piece of work, it's how that fireplace fits into the room which is just as important. Every fireplace made by the David Williams team is designed only after a visit to the home where the fireplace is to be installed.

Then, after careful measuring and discussion with the client as to how he or she wants the room to look, David will produce a design for consideration and/or alteration. When, and only when, the client is satisfied with the proposal - the deal is then agreed.

Within a short time, the fireplace is carefully made and put together and then the client is invited in for a "viewing". If everything is acceptable an installation date is arranged and the job is completed - promptly and cleanly!

A lot of effort, just for a fireplace?

"Not at all!" says David, "We just call it service!"
